One of the core values of Pascack Bible Church is development of a sense of Community.
At PBC we define Community as “The fostering of Christian friendship, intimacy, interdependence, mutual encouragement and care through relationships in small groups.” Basically, we are convinced that Christians will benefit greatly by being in close relationship with other Christians in addition to what we do on Sunday morning at our worship services.
If you are looking for a place to meet people and grow deeper in your relationship with God, then check out some of what the PBC community has to offer:
Just like the name implies, Home Groups are a small group ministry of PBC which meet in individual homes. The purpose of these groups is to provide a safe place where every person can get connected and form a deeper sense of community with the Body of Christ – a place where spiritual seekers (at any level) will be encouraged to take the next steps in their spiritual journey with Christ and each other.
Home Groups meet at various locations throughout the week, and there are many to choose from. If you think you might be interested in joining a home group, please take a look at the list of current groups and their hosts below, and then email Nancy Illian at firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire as to which options may be the best fit for you and to get started!

This is an inductive study of Colossians, where we’ll show you how to study the Word of God. To satisfy your hunger to know God and His Word, you must do more than read Scripture and study what someone else says about it. Just as no one else can eat and digest your food for you, so no one else can feed on God’s Word for you. You will interact with the text itself, absorb its truths and let God by His Holy Spirit, engrave His truth on your heart and mind and life. My hope is that you will be able to say with the prophet Jeremiah: “Your words were found and I ate them, and Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart.” (Jer. 15:16)
A quick note about Inductive Bible Study. It takes time but it’s not difficult. The enemy will do all he can to keep you from knowing God & His Word intimately. God’s truth is your major defense and offense in spiritual warfare. You must make it your goal to let the Word of Christ richly dwell within you & to walk in its precepts.
Please contact the church office or Pattie (email@example.com) for more information.
Fellowship Hall Room 3
The 15 or so men who regularly attend “Men of the Word,” like to think that the group’s name refers to who we are becoming with the help of the Holy Spirit – not that we have “arrived.” We meet every Thursday except Thanksgiving, usually in Fellowship Hall, on the lower level of PBC’s main building.
The format of each meeting is predictable but informal. We start off with a time of chatting and “catch up,” often around a cup of coffee, and then move into a Bible study. The group is currently studying Mathew’s gospel. Joining in a time of prayer brings to a conclusion each meeting. So if you are a “guy” who is free on Thursday mornings, please join us. If you have any questions please call me at 201-497-5851 or firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to hearing from you. Herb Beyer
Classes are held from September through June.
The Adult School of Discipleship at PBC is designed to be a place where people can grow in the knowledge and love of God through studying the Bible. Additionally, these small group classes are the perfect place to meet other people and develop significant friendships. Just show up, ready to learn, discuss, and grow! Check out our current class offerings here.
